Salary: Starting Salary is £35,235 (Level one) rising to £37,938 (Level four)

About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to influence and manage the Local Authority's Early Years Continuous Professional Development (CPD) offer for early years practitioners in Nottingham city.

As Childcare Workforce Development Manager, you will lead the development, promotion, coordination and monitoring of the Early Years and Childcare Workforce Development strategy and associated continuous professional development opportunities.

With a secure knowledge of early years and childcare national policies, you will work with the Early Years team and other associated partners to plan, market and deliver training programmes which are responsive to demand and current and emerging need.

You will commission, negotiate and manage training contracts and take lead responsibility for associated financial systems and processes; reporting course evaluation, participation and progress towards income generation targets to the team and senior leaders.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Secure and current knowledge of national childcare policies and how these influence the training needs for the early years sectors
  • Proven track record of events management and organisation
  • Proven track record of commissioning training
  • Experience of working and communicating with school and childcare leaders and other relevant partners both in written form and verbally
  • Experience of budget management

A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
