Job Description

As a Civil Design Engineer in the water industry, you would be responsible for ensuring that water infrastructure projects are designed to be safe, sustainable, and efficient. This role requires a mix of technical expertise, innovative thinking, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders. You would contribute to improving the management of water resources, ensuring safe drinking water, and preventing environmental hazards like flooding and contamination.

Qualifications

  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, water resources management, hydraulics, and structural design.
  • Software Proficiency: Expertise in design and modelling software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydraulic modelling tools like HEC-RAS, EPANET, or MIKE21.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to address complex engineering challenges in dynamic and evolving environments.
  • Project Management: Experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
  • Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills for working with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
