Are you seeking an active and challenging role, part of a friendly and welcoming team? Join our Parking Services Team as a Civil Enforcement Officer, where you will play a pivotal role in promoting road safety and enabling smooth traffic movement within our local communities.
The Parking Services Team are responsible for the management of on/off-street parking and enforce Traffic Regulation Orders across Westmorland and Furness. As a Civil Enforcement Officer, you will be enforcing parking regulations on all publicly maintained roads and agreed off-street parking areas within the South Lakeland or Barrow area, which involves patrolling and issuing Penalty Charge Notices for breaches of the restrictions.
We are passionate about developing good relationships with members of the public by providing helpful advice and information about parking and parking related matters, with the aim of reducing breaches of restrictions and creating safer spaces for our communities.

You will demonstrate a proactive attitude toward your work, showing the ability to manage tasks independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.
Ideally, you will have previous experience in enforcement, which will help you navigate the challenges of the role with confidence and sound judgment. Strong written communication skills are essential, as you will be expected to produce accurate reports and maintain clear, concise, and well-documented notes.
