Role Overview
- Design Basis and Specification Preparation: Collaborate with the lead engineer to develop design basis and material/construction specifications.
- Engineering Studies and Reports: Independently conduct engineering studies and produce recommendation reports.
- American and Euro Norm Design Codes: Utilize your familiarity with these codes and standards to ensure compliance in all engineering deliverables.
- Analysis and Calculations: Coordinate, direct, and review analysis and calculations for various structures, including buildings, equipment support structures, pipe racks, culverts/bridges, and earth retaining structures.
- Foundations: Design shallow and piled foundations as needed.
- Civil Infrastructure: Oversee site preparation earthworks and road construction.
- Material Take-Offs: Prepare accurate material take-offs to support project budgeting and planning.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with other disciplines, clients, and third-party contractors to deliver tasks within designated timelines and budgets.
Skills & Qualifications
- Civil Engineering Expertise: Strong knowledge and experience in civil engineering principles and practices.
- Structural Design Skills: Proven ability to design structural elements, including steel structures.
- American and Euro Norm Design Codes: Familiarity with these codes and standards is essential for this role.
- Engineering Studies: Ability to independently conduct engineering studies and produce recommendation reports.
- Material Take-Offs: Experience in preparing accurate material take-offs for project budgeting and planning.
- Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication and coordination skills to work effectively with team members across global offices.
Education & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Experience in civil engineering, with at least experience in a leadership role.
