We are looking to attract a Casualty Claims Adjuster to join the team at DWF, an award-winning global legal business and are offering a competitive salary, car allowance and other benefits.
The Casualty Claims Adjuster will have responsibility for receiving client instructions, assisting with the external investigations (including fraud detection), collating supporting information and preparing reports in keeping within agreed KPI's.
This role offers remote working however candidates will have a requirement to travel in the Southern region of the UK multiple times a week, the role would suit someone based in the South of the UK. The role requires you to have your own vehicle.
Responsibilities
- To carry out appropriate investigations in respect of policy coverage, liability, quantum and risk management
- Achievement of individual KPI's, specifically ensuring that communications, new claims and notifications are dealt with in a timely manner, as well as contribution to team performance at a high level, including financial and non-financial measures where applicable
- To work flexibly in adjusting to changes in priority of workload
- To work as a team member providing such support as required by other members of the team and to fully participate in individual and shared project work
- Effective diary management of all cases through use of a diary system
- To research solutions to problems/issues on cases / projects to develop your own technical knowledge;
- To deliver revenue for the team through existing business activity and developing own professional network;
- Generate ideas for implementation which develop new ways of working and challenge the status quo
- To be proactive in problem solving on cases through identifying potential issues and solutions, always adding value to the case / project
- To support the training and development of more junior team members
- To demonstrate the Firm's Winning Behaviours, delivering a commitment to the firms values and CSR agenda.
What will help you succeed in this role?
Essential
- Experience within the specific Personal Injury and EL/PL claims technical skills set required to undertake the role.
- Policy language skills enabling accurate and consistent policy wording interpretation
- Ability to build effective professional relationships both with external clients, policy holders and internal colleagues.
- High level of financial and commercial awareness.
- Driving licence and use of a vehicle
- Ability to prioritise effectively and manage multiple tasks
Desirable
- Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Flexibility and adaptability in your attitude and approach to work.
- Business acumen and an understanding of the clients' needs.
- Experience of dealing with first property or third property damage claims.
