Description

We are looking for an experienced Clients Accounts Assistant to join our client accounting team. This role will be based at our Shrewsbury office and the post holder will manage the accounts for our residential client portfolio.



The residential team manages the collection of rents on behalf of individual landlords and living sector clients. This role primarily focuses on the individual landlord portfolio, paying rents to our landlords daily.


Your individual landlord portfolio role will include but not be limited to:


  • Posting receipts onto the Reapit software, using a bank upload process.
  • Investigating overpayments and other receipt queries.
  • Reviewing supplier invoices uploaded to the system.
  • Reconciling bank accounts.
  • Processing internet bank transfers and payments.
  • Ensuring funds are paid out on a timely basis via the daily BACS runs.

Main tasks:



  • Developing and maintaining knowledge of any legislation particular to your portfolio of clients.
  • Liaising with third parties (e.g. accountants) and clients in providing information and reports as required.
  • Supporting other members of the client accounting team and providing cover in periods of absence of other team members.
  • Carrying out all administrative and ad hoc duties in connection with the role.
  • Ensuring systems are updated on a timely and accurate basis to enable other departments within the organisation to manage effectively.


In addition, you will be required to support the living sector team in periods of absence with their day-to-day accounting processes. This will include:



  • Posting receipts onto the TRAMPS software
  • Coding an uploading supplier invoice



What will it take to be successful?



Ideally you will have excellent IT and software skills, with knowledge and experience of TRAMPS. You will be highly efficient and organised, with the ability to work independently when required. It would be advantageous if you have an understanding of the RICS regulations in respect client accounting along with a detailed knowledge of the HM Revenue & Customs Non-Resident Landlord.



You will be an excellent communicator and provide a high level of customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. Finally, strong team working skills and the ability to support others when necessary is a benefit.
