About The Role
Do you want to elevate your career in media advertising and communications planning? MG OMD are looking for an Executive to join the Client Team, working on one of the agencies newest retail accounts, Pets at Home. The successful candidate will focus on delivering excellence in regional planning for Pets at Home’s extensive store and vets network. This role will cover learning opportunities across a breadth of channels including AV, OOH, Radio, Partnerships, Social and Digital. In this junior role you will be supporting the regional client team on the day to day running of the account. This will include assisting on responses to briefs, co-ordinating with our channel specialists and ensuring campaigns are being implemented, tracked and reported on effectively. This role provides exposure to all the core media disciplines from strategy and planning through to implementation and measurement. You will be get a fantastic exposure to media with support and training from our experienced and talented team.

About You
- Proactivity and interest in the media/advertising industry
- Understand basic details of all media channels, how they are planned, how they are bought and how we measure them
- Clear demonstration of basic maths functions and strong attention to detail
- Be able to perform simple media planning and buying calculations (reach and frequency, share, discounts etc)
- Be aware of the industry’s main media owners, who owns what, audience delivery and formats available
- Keep up to date with new trends and news and be a source of information within your team
- Basic knowledge of industry planning tools inc. Mediatel, TGI etc
- Strong admin support skills including plans and status reports, booking meetings, management of PO’s, management of Google sheets etc
- Understanding of billing process and support of finance processes within client team
- Understand exactly what MGOMD does, its place in the industry and within Omnicom (our credentials)
- Understanding of data, able to interpret client reports and provide a basic commentary and analysis (including Pivot tables, pie charts etc)
- An interest in animals would also be preferred as this account is centered on Pets!

- Be able to construct a basic presentation with strong narrative
- Be able to listen, take personal responsibility for retaining and absorbing information (i.e. use of notebook, know where to find information
- Be able to present yourself and communicate professionally in all your encounters with media owners, clients and people internally

- Support your team pro-actively and positively
- Have regular, open dialogue with Line Manager
- Have a helpful, friendly, positive attitude

- Be organised and able to manage a number of tasks at the same time

- Be proactive on clients behalf, spotting opportunities, creating idea of the week etc
- Be interested and read about clients sector
