This flexible 15-hour role offers you the chance to drive exceptional medicine management services, working collaboratively across four strategic sites. NEMS currently operates 3 main services: (1) Integrated Urgent Care across Nottinghamshire serving a patient population of over 1 million, including home visiting, remote consultation and clinical assessment services; (2) Urgent Primary care provision located within the A&E Department at QMC, (3) A 24-hour walk-in urgent primary care service adjacent to Kings Mill Hospital A&E, Mansfield.

Stock Management
- Oversee and optimise inventory levels across all sites.
- Maintain effective stock reorder systems to prevent stockouts.
- Manage expiration dates to ensure patient safety and minimise waste.
- Develop and maintain clinical governance systems and processes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Contribute to the development and review of Patient Group Directions (PGDs) for these services, ensuring they are appropriate, safe, and comply with regulations.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of medicines management policies and standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Monitor and audit CD handling procedures across all sites.
- Ensure compliance with CD regulations and Trust policies.
- Report and investigate any CD-related incidents.
- Generate regular reports on prescribing and medicines usage, costs, and trends.
- Analyse data to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
- Provide insights to support decision-making in medicines management.

- Influence organisational learning through audit and incident analysis with contribution of this in captured in the quarterly governance report.
- Assist in preparing reports and presentations on medication safety for relevant committees and stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and training to pharmacy technicians.
- Oversee the work of technicians in medicines-related activities.
- Promote skill development and efficient task allocation within the pharmacy team.
- Assist in the implementation of the medicines management strategy.
