Would you like flexible working opportunities to suit your commitments?

Now is an excellent time to become part of the pharmacy team at MKUH; we are a friendly, forward-thinking department who continue to grow in both size and influence. At an organisational level, we are keen to embrace technology and the digital agenda to enhance working practices and have a well established electronic patient record which incorporates a full electronic prescribing and medicines administration system. At a departmental level, we have been fortunate to receive significant investment in recent years, which in addition to growing our team, has led to a major departmental refurbishment, the replacement of our Pharmacy Robot, the creation of a new Pharmacy and Aseptic Unit in the Cancer Centre, and the opening of a new Outpatient Pharmacy.

Interviews: To be confirmed.

You will become part of a growing team of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians who support patient care across a wide range of clinical specialties within the Trust. With the support of our Specialist Clinical Pharmacists and our Principal Pharmacists across a range of clinical specialities, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centred care. In addition to delivering ward-based pharmaceutical care and providing clinical support to the dispensary, you will have the opportunity to get involved in a wide range of medicines optimisation and medicines safety activities as part of your wider medicines management role.

This role is crucial to the delivery, development, and evaluation of pharmaceutical services across the hospital. It plays a key part in helping divisions optimise medicines use within available resources.

MKUH staff scored highest for ‘I look forward to coming to work’ (NHS Staff Survey 2023).
