Job Purpose
Join our vibrant Commercial Finance team and play a pivotal role in strengthening the bridge between our commercial and financial operations. In this position, you won't just be working with numbers; you'll be a key partner to our Customer Development team, providing the crucial analysis and support that drives smart business decisions. What You Will Achieve
- Drive Financial Integrity: Act as the key liaison between our Customer Development teams and our Colgate Business Service (CBS) centre. You will take ownership of the deductions management process for key customer accounts, investigating queries and driving them to a swift resolution.
- Collaborate for Success: Proactively participate in Accounts Receivable (AR) clinics, bringing your analytical insights to the table to improve processes and achieve team KPIs.
- Deliver Actionable Insights: Provide sharp, insightful analysis to the Commercial Development Finance team, influencing pricing strategies and supporting key internal controls.
- Enhance Your Skills: Embrace a variety of ad-hoc projects and analytical tasks that will challenge you and expand your understanding of our commercial finance landscape.
Who you are:
We are looking for someone with a passion for finance and a drive to collaborate. Your skills and experience are more important than a specific job title.
- A keen eye for detail and a structured, organised approach to managing multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and understand its commercial impact.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building effective relationships with people across different teams.
- A proactive mindset with a drive to take initiative, solve problems, and continuously improve processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for success in this role.
- Experience in SAP systems.
- A professional or academic background in Finance, Commerce, Statistics, or a related field (this is a plus, not a requirement).
- Previous work in an Accounts Receivable or commercial finance environment.
