Commercial Lawyer

Our customer, a leading organisation in the payments and financial services industry is seeking an experienced Commercial Lawyer to join their dynamic legal team on a full-time contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a highly collaborative environment with a strong team culture and a positive, engaging atmosphere.

Start Date: Early July

Contract Duration: Until end of 2025

Working Hours: Full-Time

Location: London (Hybrid – 2 days in office)

Key Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial and sales contracts, predominantly within the UK, with occasional global matters.
• Supporting cross-functional teams with contractual and legal advice, particularly in the context of commercial and transactional matters.
• Engaging with a broad range of internal stakeholders, including sales and business development teams.
• Providing legal support in relation to day-to-day commercial activities and initiatives across the business.

Key Requirements

• UK-qualified solicitor with a current practicing certificate.
• Proven commercial legal experience, ideally within a fast-paced, regulated industry.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships across departments and regions.
• Demonstrated experience in supporting sales-focused transactions.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Prior experience in the payments or broader financial services sector.
• Familiarity with legal and regulatory issues specific to the fintech or electronic money landscape.
• Experience handling international commercial matters.
