Commercial Manager on the Piccadilly Line Upgrade project

What you'll be doing
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Preparation of Estimates & Tender submissions including the interpretation of specifications & preambles
- Manages commercial aspects with Suppliers, Customers and stakeholders to ensure task/project remains on plan
- Co-ordination of buying, accounts, production control/planning, supply chain management & procurement techniques, estimating & surveying functions
- Management and reporting of Commercial Risk and Opportunity
- Establish client supply chain requirements & advise on alternative forms of contract & procurement arrangements.
- Formulation and management of plans for resource procurement.
- Provides commercial input to Buildability and Value Engineering reviews.
- Manages the feedback of commercial data to Planning and Estimating.
- To support the review tenders & cost data.
- To co-ordinate the commercial team to ensure programme issues are identified and actioned.
Who we're looking for
The following skills, experience & qualifications are required:
- Strong commercial experience with knowledge of NEC contracts
- Good knowledge of governance requirements and maximises LEAN/digital opportunities.
- Understanding of how economic factors affects the construction industry.
- Awareness of disputes resolution including options, structure, techniques, experts etc
- Track record of managing and developing a commercial team
- BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- Membership of RICS, ICES or CIOB (or working towards)
- CSCS Card (Professional Qualified Person)
