Binnies, part of the
RSK Group is seeking a
Commissioning Engineer to work on a
full-time and
permanent basis at our head office in
Redhill, Surrey.
The primary purpose of the role is associated with the planning, executing and documenting of commissioning activities on projects and programme of works in a safe manner, fully in accordance with the Client processes, systems and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance to design team in the form of commissioning strategy, sequencing of integration
- Aid in the process of design / construction / commissioning to completion, and final turnover to the client.
- Provide management / coordinate of multidisciplinary project or area commissioning teams.
- Develops and maintains a detailed commissioning schedule and detailed set of packages for commissioning to track completion and progress.
- Assist and maintains open communications and relationship with the client.
- When required provide support managing and monitoring the commissioning budget and man hours.
- Develops clear commissioning procedures as required by contract to coordinate the commissioning effort.
- Plans and prepares for commissioning activities and major milestones (supplier, chemical cleaning, demonstration tests, etc.).
- Implements a coordinated operations control program ensuring good communication and the smooth execution of operational activities.
- Creates and implements controls process for spares, consumables, outstanding work, and material deliveries.
- Help in the coordination of daily activities effecting and involving commissioning, verify systems installed, update of as built drawings
- Coordinate and support out of hours call out, as project dictated
- Provides supervision, training, and development, of direct reports where applicable.
- Adheres to safety and quality standards as applicable for duties and accountabilities.
- Identifies and assesses improvement opportunities which will add value.
- Champions continuous improvement efforts.
- Assesses and supports the change management effects associated with the implementation of improvements.
- Proactively supports, encourages, and facilitates staff to engage in continuous improvement activities.
- Support / Manage and coordinate any additional commissioning activities, assigned by commissioning manager or head of commissioning
Requirements - Essential:
- CSCS or ECS card in an appropriate discipline
- CITB Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS)
- 18th Edition electrical qualifications –, BS761:2018 electrical

- EUSR Water Hygiene Card
- First Aid at Work
- SMSTS
- COMPEX EX.f / DSEAR Awareness
- Certified PROFIBUS Installer
- PROFIBUS Commissioning and Maintenance
- Confined Spaces Entry (Medium Risk)
