Role Overview: As a Communications Officer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the way the Council communicates with and engages stakeholders. You will be involved in delivering impactful marketing campaigns, growing our online and social media presence, and supporting the implementation of our new digital communications strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver creative and engaging content for web and social media platforms.
  • Assist in growing audiences and engagement through effective communications campaigns.
  • Maintain and manage the council website, intranet, and social media platforms.
  • Identify emerging digital trends and technologies to support the Council’s growth and transformation aims.
  • Write press releases, update the council website, and use social media platforms to communicate with the public.
  • Support the delivery of the Council’s digital transformation agenda, including the rollout of transactional services and customer self-service systems.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure continuous improvement in communication strategies.
