We're looking for a
Community Fundraising Officer to join our team at Oxford Health Charity (OHC) to play a key role in increasing support for our charity, which funds projects that enhance the experience of patients, carers and staff beyond the NHS budget. OHC provides funding for a number of projects beyond the Trust’s NHS budget. From inviting green spaces, to funding artists to work with patients, improving staff rest areas, and providing non-essential medical equipment to make patients more comfortable and much more!
Working closely with the Head of Charity, you'll maximise fundraising income through creative and sustainable strategies, ensuring excellent stewardship of fundraisers and supporters. You'll manage community fundraising events, explore new sponsorship opportunities, and build strong relationships with local groups and organisations across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Wiltshire.
You'll maintain accurate donor records using the Donorfy database and contribute to the smooth running of fundraising activities, ensuring compliance and cost-effectiveness. This role requires excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A background in fundraising or customer care, along with strong IT skills, is essential.

- Working with the Head of Charity to maximise existing fundraising income streams to grow sustainable annual income
- Manage, develop and provide stewardship with community fundraisers ensuring all queries are dealt with promptly and appropriately
- Plan, deliver and maximise income from existing community fundraising events and seek new opportunities. This may include sponsorship deals and event marketing
- Ensure all external community fundraising activities are correctly planned and managed to ensure cost effectiveness and pose no reputational risk to the charity or Trust
- Build key relationship within the Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Wiltshire communities including but not limited to educational establishments, sports clubs, youth groups, women’s institute, Freemasons etc.
- Help to maintain the Donorfy database to ensure communication with donors and fundraisers is recorded and opportunities logged
- Identifying opportunities to raise awareness of the charity and across the Trust including giving talks, attending local events, and networking events
- Represent the charity at external events, which may include occasional evening and weekends. This may include fundraising events, attending cheque presentations, and arranging photographs with key donors
- Promote a collaborative approach to fundraising and work to ensure all staff are up to date with fundraising news and events.
