Description
Do you have both passion and perspective on the challenges and complexities older adult mental health groups face? Are you a resilient registered Mental Health Nurse with demonstrable post qualification experience?

We are recruiting for a Community Mental Health Nurse to join our team based at the Des Roches Square in Witney. You’ll provide assessment and evidence-based treatment interventions to a wide range of adults within Witney and the surrounding towns and villages including Carterton, Eynsham, Bampton and Burford . This is a fantastic opportunity to develop senior clinical and leadership skills within a team committed to the wellbeing and development of all staff.

Working in the beautiful town of Witney, we focus on the recovery of patients through a multidisciplinary (MDT) approach, with expertise from doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, support workers and psychological therapies staff alongside regular clinical team meetings. We strive to provide person centred evidence-based care to patients, where possible working collaboratively with their families and carers.

This role carries an incentive premium of £3,500 which will be paid in instalments over an 18 month period. Please note that this scheme is not open to existing employees of Oxford Health and is subject to a claw back clause.

  • Work as an autonomous practitioner in the multi-disciplinary team undertaking specialist nursing assessments in collaboration with the service user and their families/carers and presenting back to the wider MDT.
  • Work in partnership with service users and their families/carers to ensure the development of a treatment plan to facilitate their safety, promote their well-being and support their independence and inclusion in the community. This may include working closely with partner agencies.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions following NICE guidelines to promote recovery and relapse prevention in a variety of settings.
  • Regularly review care and outcomes, supporting service users to complete clinical outcome measures and monitoring progress and adapting treatment options as required.
  • Knowledge of common physical health conditions and their management, and an ability to complete cardiometabolic assessment

You will be supported by an experienced leadership team from across the professions who facilitate forums for Nursing and Occupational Therapists and hold your development as a priority. We offer regular supervision and you will be encouraged and supported to undertake any training relevant to your professional development.
