Join Our Team as a Compliance Analyst

Investec is seeking a motivated Compliance Analyst to join our Central Compliance team. As a Compliance Analyst, you will assist in delivering online training and managing the training platform, monitor Gifts and Hospitality, support compliance reporting, and help maintain compliance registers and policies. Additionally, you will engage in ad hoc compliance projects and respond to internal and external queries, contributing to the overall compliance framework of the bank.


About the Team:

The Central Compliance team is dedicated to advising on regulatory and policy matters, including the Senior Manager and Certification Regime (SMCR), Conduct Rules, and Client Money and Assets (CASS). We are responsible for managing compliance training, maintaining core compliance systems, and overseeing non-prudential regulatory reporting. Our goal is to ensure that Investec conducts its business in a compliant and appropriate manner.


What you will be doing:

  • Assist in the delivery of online compliance training, managing the training platform, and tracking completion rates.
  • Monitor Gifts and Hospitality, ensuring adherence to compliance standards.
  • Support compliance reporting to various committees by collating updates and preparing reports.
  • Manage compliance registers and processes related to regulatory reporting and policies.
  • Update and publish compliance policies, procedures, and frameworks.
  • Participate in ad hoc compliance projects to build your knowledge and expertise.
  • Handle queries and information requests from internal and external stakeholders, including regulators.


What We're Looking For:

  • A candidate in the early stages of their financial services career, with prior experience in compliance or financial services.
  • A keen interest in financial services technology, data, and process improvements.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel; Visio knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong data skills with the ability to analyse and transform data into useful management information.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to work autonomously while managing multiple tasks under pressure.
