Job Overview
Due to an increase in regulatory assurance requirements, we are expanding our existing team. We are looking for three new Compliance and Assurance Partners to support the delivery of a programme of work on regulatory reporting assurance. This includes regulatory delivery plans, and providing internal assessment and assurance, and supporting externally sourced resources to ensure Southern Water meets its non-financial obligations.
- Providing support to management on the regulatory landscape and specific requirements to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations (with a focus on regulatory reporting compliance with Ofwat, EA, DWI and CCW).
- Supporting the delivery of internal and external assurance programmes over non-financial regulatory reporting, action plans and delivery plans facilitating the assurance process and liaising with internal teams to drive appropriate action in response to assurance outcomes.
- In collaboration with other internal governance teams such as Internal Audit and Risk and Control supporting delivery of improvements in controls and assurance, regulatory reporting, delivery planning, and information management.
- Supporting the maintenance and improvement of the compliance management framework for oversight of regulatory compliance (people, processes, procedures and systems reporting).
About You
- Knowledge of and relevant experience in developing, designing and controlling documents supporting a management systems such an ISO management system standards.
- Practical application of risk and control management frameworks and different governance models, including three lines of defence, within a complex organisation.
- Understanding and experience of working in a risk and assurance management framework.
- Relevant degree / professional qualifications and or demonstrable relevant experience in a process, system, risk and controls role.
- Knowledge of developing and applying business processes, governance, delivery planning, information controls and assurance.
