Compliance Consultant
The Role
To join the Cobra Network compliance team as a consultant for independent insurance brokers who are Cobra Network members and to support the existing compliance consultancy team in delivering support to the Network and wider group.
Responsibilities
- Provide email, telephone and face to face guidance to members on FCA regulation.
- Provide consultancy services including but not limited to: -
- Health checks
- Reg Data returns
- Connect applications
- FCA Surveys and other regulatory submissions
- File reviews
- Management reports
- Change in control
- Business planning
- Appointed Representatives oversight and monitoring
- Client money
- Product Governance and Fair Value
- Consumer Duty
- Horizon scanning
- Keep members updated on regulatory changes through the creation of:
- Tool Kits
- Compliance On Track (Monitoring Plan)
- News letters
- Guidance Documents
- Create and provide training.
- Monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
- Promote the Cobra Network Compliance Offering through various mediums
- Keep up to date the RAG Status of all Cobra Network Members.
- Respond to compliance queries in a timely manner
- Record and log all compliance activity
- Attend relevant events representing Cobra Network compliance.
- Produce and update compliance templates
- Support the compliance team with first line of defence activities including; risk registers, file reviews, internal audits, business continuity planning.
Key Skills And Requirements
- Working knowledge of broking systems e.g. Acturis (Desirable)
- Use of Microsoft Office
- Analysing data
- Accurate data entry
- Experience of insurance broking
- Understanding of FCA regulatory requirements
- Driving licence
- Ability to work from various locations
