Job Description

An Electrical Construction Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of electrical construction works on a large infrastructure project

  • This role involves managing teams, ensuring compliance with safety standards, coordinating with other construction professionals, and maintaining project schedules and budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Oversee all phases of electrical construction from to completion, ensuring work packages are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of electricians, technicians, and subcontractors. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and adherence to safety protocols
  • Planning and Scheduling: Ensure project plans are delivered to schedules and timelines are maintained. Coordinate with other construction managers and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, control costs, and ensure efficient use of resources. Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders
  • Quality Control: Implement and oversee quality control measures to ensure all electrical work meets industry standards and project specifications
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety inspections and training sessions.
  • Client Relations: Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly. Provide regular updates and reports on project progress
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues that may arise during the construction process. Implement solutions to mitigate delays and cost overruns
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, permits, inspection reports, and change orders

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical construction management or a similar role

Certifications: Relevant certifications such as ECS (electrotechnical certification scheme) Electrical Management card (Black ECS/CSCS:

Strong leadership and team management skills

Excellent project management and organizational abilities

Proficient in electrical systems and construction practices

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards

Proficiency in project management software and tools
