It is essential that the post-holder should hold the FRCS (UK) or an equivalent qualification and be on the GMC specialist register or will obtain a relevant CCT/CESR(CP) within 6 months of interview.
The successful applicant will be part of a team expanding to 4 Breast surgeons in delivering high quality service in symptomatic and screening Breast disease to the catchment area. This vacancy arises as part of an expansion of breast cancer and reconstructive surgery and creates an opportunity to enhance and develop our services for the community.
The post will suit a candidate who has recently gained their CCT in Breast surgery (and who is on the specialist register).
Duties & Responsibilities
- To participate fully in the provision of Breast Services
- To provide highest possible levels of patient care
- To actively remain clinically competent
- To work as an active member of the Breast team
- To work closely with Multidisciplinary teams
- To activate particulate and undertake audit.
- To teach staff/medical students
- To work to all Trust Policies and procedures
- To work flexibly
