Ricoh are currently recruiting for a Contracts & Negotiations Manager based in London who will successfully negotiate the global contracts valued at between €5 million and €40 million, that meet the mandate given for each deal. This is a customer facing role that also works directly with a wide range of Ricoh-internal SMEs and stakeholders.
This role is part of a successful team who win and retain profitable business with Ricoh’s largest global clients, through the creation and successful negotiation of commercial proposals across all lines of Ricoh’s business. This requires a deep knowledge and understanding of the client, the competitive landscape and Ricoh’s delivery capabilities

What you will be doing
- Lead the customer engagement process through contract negotiation to signature, ensuring the contract terms and conditions support the expected profitability, are compliant with the approval parameters and Ricoh can deliver.
- Conduct final contract review, submitting contracts for corporate approval and subsequent customer signature.
- Hand over signed global contracts to the Operations Teams, via a formal on-boarding process, hence ensuring that they are understood by the necessary teams.
- As required, be available to support subsequent changes requiring contract amendment.
- Support bid teams in responding to requests for non-standard commercial content (terms and conditions, SLAs, pricing structures, etc.) and making key commercial decisions during the bid phase which will set the stage for contract negotiations when the tender is won.
- Successfully conclude global contract negotiations ensuring that the contract terms and conditions support the expected profitability, are compliant with the approval parameters and Ricoh can deliver.
- At both RFP and contract negotiation stages, provide and negotiate responses to requests for non-standard commercial content (terms and conditions, SLAs, pricing structures, etc.).
- Review and develop contractual documents (including Statement of Work) in cooperation with Legal, Technical, Product Marketing and other SMEs.
- Respond to queries and support the Operations team regarding application of negotiated contracts post signature.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and guidelines and escalate issues where required.
You will ideally have
- Ideally successful candidates will be educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification, preferably in a technical/science/engineering discipline or a legal/business background
- Candidates will ideally have proven previous experience and knowledge working in the print, telecoms or IT services market, including at least one of the following disciplines: bid, contract negotiation, pricing, product marketing, procurement.
- Successful candidates will be a skilled negotiator, able to negotiate contracts with customers and also internal stakeholders, advise, leader and influence decisions also.
- Ideal candidates will be commercially aware, with an understanding of variations in commercial contracting principles and practices globally, plus able to incorporate overall strategic objectives whilst making decisions on contractual negotiations and the remit of deals.
- Candidates will need to be fluent in English both written and spoken, with any other language skills an advantage.
- Any qualifications in process improvement or project management techniques an advantage, e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, Six Sigma, Agile would be an advantage
- Ideally you will have comprehensive knowledge and experience of MS Office product suite and document creation and management tools, such as Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, MS Teams.
- Preferably you will be able to demonstrate a good grasp of the key financial aspects of business; profit and loss, cash flow, leasing and financing, interest rates, inflation and exchange rates from and consider this from both the Ricoh and client perspectives.
