The Role:

Due to growing business in our our sister company TUV Rheinland Industrial Services (TRIS), a role has opened for a Control and Instrumentation Department Head to work on high profile projects.

The Control and Instrumentation Department Head will be managing and leading the I&C Team, supervising and allocating work to the project engineers and designers as well as co-ordinating with other departments, dealing directly with clients and package vendors within multiple industries.

You will:-

• Prepare scopes of work and estimates to support proposals.
• Deliver the engineering design scope to budgets and programmes.
• Prepare, check and/or approve design calculations, specifications, data sheets, reports, scope of work and drawings to British/International Standards and Codes of Practice.
• Monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices and client standards.

You will have:-.

• A minimum of 10 years of instrument & control experience, preferably in oil & gas, chemicals and/or other high hazard process industries
• Experience of dealing directly with both Clients and Vendors at all levels
• A demonstrable track record of functional safety, ATEX and equipment for electrically hazardous areas
• The ability to allocate work appropriately to design staff and monitor progress to meet project needs
