Corporate Financial Controller - Investment Management (Real Estate)

Cobalt are excited to be working with a prestigious investment firm based in London to secure a Fund Financial Controller. Our client currently has c.£30bn AUM globally across multiple alternative asset classes, including private equity, credit and real assets. The role sits in the real assets team and works closely with the CFO on managing the current European fund and will help to raise a new fund in 2025.


Key Responsibilities,

  • Lead and responsible for all elements of the day-to-day management of the financial reporting and control
  • Responsible for management of the various fund administration teams integral to the fund control
  • Manage delivery of the quarterly financial reporting and partners’ capital through the various stakeholders
  • Manage and oversee the year end audit process
  • Maintain strong cash controls, liquidity reporting, and treasury management
  • Prepare cash forecasting, develop cash planning strategy and manage capital calls and distributions
  • Manage the subscription facility with the agent
  • Manage the hedging strategy (FX and IR) with appropriate advisors


Requirements,

  • Must be a qualified accountant (ACA,ACCA,CIMA)
  • Minimum of 3-years post qualified experience in fund accounting, preferably real estate
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail
  • Motivated, strong communication skills, good relationship builder,
  • Result oriented with a high degree of quality and attention to detail
  • Pro-active, ability to work accurately and to tight deadlines, mature and professional presence
