Join the Close Brothers Invoice Finance (CBIF) team as a Corporate Manager where you will ensure delivery of excellent service to a portfolio of our corporate clients. The corporate portfolio consists of business with funds in use of £3m and above. Through your endeavours, you will maximise client life and income while minimizing the risk of loss to the company through client bad debt.
Our ideal team member will have direct experience of managing client relationships, with strong risk and financial acumen. A thorough understanding of Invoice Finance and ABL facilities is essential to deal with these larger and more complex facilities. You'll be dedicated and hard working, with effective relationship building and problem solving skills.
This particular portfolio spans from the midlands, up through the North of England and will include some of Scotland. We offer a hybrid working model, so candidates based in the North will be expected in our Manchester office 3 days a week, but we are also open to candidates in the Midlands who are prepared to do 2 days in Manchester, with a 3rd day in our Birmingham office. The role also involves travel to visit clients as needed.
Responsibilities
- Manage and control a portfolio of approx. 15 invoice discounting and ABL clients.
- Minimise the risk of loss through use of risk management tools and implementation of risk management procedures.
- Maximise client life by ensuring delivery of excellent service, engaging Senior Management where appropriate and implement additional services where appropriate.
- Maximise income by ensuring the correct fee rates are maintained, and by ensuring additional fees are charged where appropriate.
- Obtain and review financial information from clients.
- Undertake annual client reviews, and ad hoc reviews where facility changes are required and make appropriate presentations to Senior Management / CBIF Board.
- Undertake client visits as required.
- Source new business opportunities for both CBIF and the wider Close Brothers Group.
- Take on new clients as required.
- Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required.
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE:
- Industry specific experience including exposure to credit & risk.
- Client Management experience and strong knowledge of ABL.
- Great interpersonal and negotiation skills
- The Ability to work independently as well as of part of a team.
- The ability to communicate effectively with Clients and internal stakeholders
- Full UK drivers licence
