Job Overview
To support the Finance Business Partner team to achieve or improve upon the directorate level operational cost budgets. This role will sit in either the Water or Waste Finance Business Partner teams and will deal with often large, complex data sets which will need to be manipulated and analysed. Recommendations for costs improvements / efficiencies will be presented to the Senior Finance Business Partner via clear, action driving reporting within the directed time-frames.
- Large data-set handling, manipulation and analysis.
- Understanding of and recommendations to improve underlying processes and systems that drive data sets via inputs from the finance systems team.
- Summarising and reporting on cost saving / efficiency opportunities.
- The ability to understand multiple systems and their interactions will be high advantageous.
- Other ad hoc duties
About You
- Degree educated (or equivalent) and/or demonstrable experience and/or working towards a professional accounting qualification.
- Proven ability to work with data and produce meaningful analysis.
- Confident user of MS Excel and related systems
- The ability to understand multiple systems and their interactions will be high advantageous.
- Some experience of working with Finance stakeholders, providing commercial insight and advice.
