We are seeking a talented and driven finance professional to join our Finance team. This is a key role responsible for managing customer debt, improving cash flow, and supporting wider finance operations through accurate reconciliations and effective stakeholder engagement.
Job RequirementsPerson Specification
Essential:
- Experience working in a Finance team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confident in speaking with external and internal stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with accounting and CRM systems (NetSuite experience desirable).
Desirable:
- Experience working in an SME or fast-paced technology or services business.
- Proven experience in a credit control or accounts receivable role.
- Qualified or working towards AAT qualification or a similar accounting certification.
- Demonstrated initiative in improving processes or reporting.

Job ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
Credit Control & Collections
- Contact customers via phone and email to ensure timely debt collection.
- Proactively manage aged debt accounts and escalate appropriately.
- Investigate and resolve customer billing and credit queries.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records.
- Produce and analyse debtor reports, highlighting risk and collection trends.
- Contribute to short-term cash flow forecasting and participate in monthly reviews of aged debt and bad debt provisions.
Process Improvement & Reporting
- Monitor and propose improvements to credit control processes.
- Document changes and ensure knowledge sharing across the team.
- Act as a subject matter expert for billing and cash collection processes.
- Support the Finance Manager with ad hoc tasks and reporting projects.
Team Collaboration
- Liaise with Customer Service, Sales, and wider Finance team to provide clear updates on account status.
- Provide cover and support to colleagues in the Credit Control and Finance team, including occasional work on purchase ledger and bank reconciliations.
