Location: London (City) – Hybrid role, with time in the London office required and some travel to continental Europe (mainly Brussels or Antwerp)

CompanionCo is the holding entity of a number of accounting and consulting entities across Europe. We are building a pan-European organisation based on the strong legacy and values of the partnerships, currently holding 5 participations in 6 European countries, with expectations to grow in new European countries.
Companion is the support team for these entities, driving cross-border collaboration, engagement and realising ambitions through a structured and focused approach. Current entities include Moore Kingston Smith (UK&I), Moore Belgium (BE), Moore DRV (NL) and 2 other Firms (in ES and DE) currently in closing process.
The Role
The Role
Reporting to and working closely with the Executive Director of Companion, the Cross-Functional Projects Coordinator will be supporting and coordinating various projects, predominantly in cross-border collaboration whilst encouraging engagement, identifying inefficiencies and streamlining ways of working. This role will offer the opportunity to work closely with senior leaders across the entities, giving a deep insight into the complexities and growth opportunities of these firms individually and collectively.
Working from our London office, you will be keeping a close link to the Head of Cross Border Business Development along with the sales and business development team based there, along with teams across Europe.
You will be a proactive, hands-on professional with a strong foundation in project coordination and international collaboration. Skilled in supporting the planning, execution and monitoring of diverse cross-border initiatives. Recognised for strong organisational abilities, adaptability, and collaborative mindset, with the capability to support teams in delivering impactful results.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating cross-border business development and client projects by managing project schedules, project status and deadlines, resources, and deliverables across multiple departments.
- Supporting collaboration efforts through developing and managing tools (e.g., SharePoint, PM-tool) and supporting materials (e.g., pitch templates).
- Facilitating effective teamwork by preparing meeting materials, maintaining timelines, and managing stakeholder communications.
- Contributing to process improvement by identifying inefficiencies and recommending enhancements to internal workflows, with a specific focus on collaborative projects.
- Supporting the identification and the development of new collaboration opportunities by building bridges between departments.
- Monitoring and reporting on overall project performance and tracking business development metrics (e.g., success rates, reasons for missed opportunities).
Key Skills, Experience And Qualifications
- Hands-on attitude and ability to get things done (by yourself and/or others).
- Strong organisational and time management abilities, able to keep multiple projects on track with strong planning and attention to detail
- Experience in a similar role, working with multiple projects and stakeholders, ideally in a professional services environment.
- Understanding of the business development lifecycle, particularly within professional services.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of stakeholders.
- Meticulous attention to detail and multitasking ability.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving aptitude.
- Cultural awareness and ability to leverage cross-cultural strengths.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a project-driven environment.
- Either a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field or proven hands-on experience in a similar role.
- Basic experience or knowledge of business development.
- Certification or coursework in project management (e.g., CAPM) is a plus.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in NL, DE, ES, and/or FR is an asset. However embracing differences and enjoying working in a multicultural environment is a must.
