Social Worker Role Profile
Social Worker – Initial Response Team
Our Initial Response Service is a busy and fast paced service providing a social work response to families to ensure children are safeguarded and families are supported in a timely way when needed. The service is closely aligned to our MASH and Targeted Help offer as we develop a single front door with a conversation-based approach to ensure families receive the right help when challenges first emerge and to sustain change. We are focused on building family networks to build capacity and resilience.
You will have experience of delivering high quality and timely safeguarding interventions, assessments and support to families to build capacity and bring about change, of building strong partnership approaches and using best practice across our priority practice areas of neglect, child sexual abuse, domestic violence and adolescent safeguarding. You will be committed to ensuring children’s voices are at the heart of everything you do.
You will be joining a service which is strengths based, trauma informed, restorative and relational in how we work with families. You will join a service with a 'High Expectation, High Support, High Challenge' culture, where we are ambitious about improving outcomes for children and young people. We have a stable management team, a commitment to manageable caseloads and access to a strong career development and career progression offer from our dedicated Academy, including access to a leadership and management development offer for those who wish to progress into management.
