Cutover & Environments Project Manager – Hybrid | Utilities Project

Location: Hybrid (Walsall, UK – 2 days on-site: Monday & Tuesday)

Contract Type: Freelance (Outside IR35)

Contract Length: 6 months initial

THE COMPANY

Empiric is partnered with a leading managed services provider delivering a major transformation programme for a national utilities customer. As part of this work, we are seeking a Cutover & Environments Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of cutover activities while managing the environment strategy end-to-end.

THE ROLE

You will take ownership of the cutover plan and oversee the alignment and readiness of development, test, staging, and production environments. This will involve coordinating with infrastructure and technical teams to ensure stability, consistency, and operational success across the programme lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities & Required Skillset:

• Proven experience leading cutover and environment readiness within large-scale transformations
• Strong background in DevOps, SDLC, and environment provisioning
• Ability to plan and execute cutover rehearsals, develop rollback strategies, and support go-live
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and coordination across internal and external teams
• Experience in the utilities or energy sector preferred
• Experience with Salesforce or other cloud based cloud based enterprise platforms preferred
• Must be able to attend on-site in Walsall every Monday & Tuesday
