As part of this transformation, we’re looking for a Cyber Security Risk Manager Lead to join our Advisory Security team within the Security and Information Management (SaIM) Directorate. Reporting to the Cyber Security Risk Manager - Principal, you’ll play a key role in embedding a ‘Secure by Design’ approach across ONS operations and ensuring our security frameworks, policies, and processes are fully integrated into the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert security advice to develop and implement effective security risk management strategies across ONS, ensuring protection of organisational assets.
• Identify and assess security risks and recommend appropriate mitigation approaches, working with stakeholders to implement solutions.
• Support ONS in embedding the ONS Security Framework, including threat modelling and risk management practices, into day-to-day operations.
• Work in collaboration with business and third parties, using threat, vulnerability, and risk analysis to inform security decisions.

You’ll be part of the SaIM Directorate, which delivers essential services like security risk advice, knowledge management, physical security, security compliance, and the Security Operations Centre.
