Data & Analytics Programme Lead

As a Data Programme Lead at Slalom, you will drive the growth and success of our data and analytics practice by collaborating with data leaders on sales, account management, consulting, and operational aspects. You will be at the forefront of delivering transformative data and analytics projects in large-scale, complex settings, while providing technical guidance to other team members. Your role will involve managing project risks, developing proposals, and enhancing Slalom's culture. With your experience in consulting, project management, and cloud data platforms, you will deliver insights through data solutions and improve our competitive edge in the market. So, what will I do?

  • Lead the delivery of data and analytics projects across large-scale, complex environments.
  • Manage project risk as it relates to planning and budgeting, handling accounts receivable, defining deliverable content, and ensuring agreement of proposed solutions from client executives
  • Develop proposals, presentations, statement of work (SOW) and proactively recommend strategies to grow the data & analytics practice presence in existing accounts
  • Collaborate on business development activities as a domain specialist for the data team across a variety of clients and industries
  • Improve performance through an effective team-based approach that increases output and employee happiness
  • Enhance Slalom's culture and be a leading example of our core values every day
  • Provide technical & architecture guidance as a mentor to junior team members

And, what will I bring?

  • 10+ years of experience delivering insights through data solutions
  • 5+ years of experience in consulting
  • Proven history of growing existing client base & developing new accounts/clients from the ground up
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, understand their needs, and articulate recommendations effectively.
  • Extensive experience in hands-on management and oversight of cloud-based data platform projects within large-scale, complex environments.
  • Validated project management experience covering a broad business base, complemented with a concentration in analytics, data strategy, data architecture, data science, and/or visual analytics
  • A consistent track record of successful consulting engagement management experience; including advising other team members and playing a key role in collaborating with senior level client executives
  • Ability to balance the demands of multiple client assignments and team development while pushing the intellectual envelope in search of solutions to complex problems
  • Creative thinking and seeking innovative solutions to sophisticated technical and business problems
  • Solid understanding of DevOps principles, practices, and tools, with experience in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Experience working with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, Databricks, Snowflake), dashboard and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau), and AI/ML platforms (Azure, AWS, Google, OpenAI)
