Data Engineer

About the Role

We’re looking for a Data Engineer with 3–5 years’ experience in SQL and data engineering to join our collaborative team and contribute to high-impact projects in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll be building and maintaining data pipelines using DBT and SQL, with the opportunity to work across tools and platforms such as Dagster, Synq, AWS, and Python.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop and maintain SQL-based data solutions (PostgreSQL / MySQL)
• Build and manage data transformations and models in DBT
• Support scheduling and execution of data pipelines using Dagster
• Help manage and optimise our AWS Lambda-based data infrastructure
• Collaborate with the team to improve data architecture and pipelines
• (Bonus) Write and maintain Python scripts for data processing
• (Bonus) Build dashboards in Tableau or reports in Metabase

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3–5 years' experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
• Strong SQL skills (PostgreSQL / MySQL)
• Hands-on experience with DBT for data transformation
• Familiarity with Dagster or other orchestration tools
• Experience with AWS, Lambda, Python, Tableau, Metabase (nice to have, not essential)
• Strong understanding of data architecture principles
• Analytical thinker with solid problem-solving skills
