The Data Collection and Improvement (DCI) team deliver a support service to care providers with the aim to help them collect and improve the data they submit to NHS England.
The Team Has 4 Sections
- Data Collection - Managing a large number of collections from several hundred providers and delivering submissions support across a range of data collection systems
- Data Coverage – Monitoring and supporting increased coverage across mandatory data collections
- Data Improvement – Developing trusted relationships with providers to support improvements in the data submitted
- Management Information - Sourcing, extracting and analysing data about collections to help DCI and other services evidence and maximise their impact.
Duties
As a Data Operations Management Officer, you will play a key role within an allocated section. Duties specific to this role include:
- Supporting the management and delivery of provider-focussed services for allocated collections, systems or data improvement projects
- Undertaking all aspects of line management and training for allocated data operations administrators
- Building trusted relationships with providers and supporting them to improve the data submitted across a range of data collections and systems
- Facilitating national/regional engagement with providers, such as central communications, user groups and webinars
- Collating and analysing feedback from providers to identify opportunities to improve the data collected and our collection processes.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.
