Why We Need You!

The Deals Desk Specialist at Ivanti is responsible for working with a team and collaborating with various stakeholders to close complex, non-standard revenue deals. This role requires excellent communication skills, as well as experience in deal desk management and financial consulting. A top candidate would be attracted to this opportunity because they would have the chance to work closely with sales teams, drive new deals, and contribute to the growth and success of the organization. About The Team

What You Will Be Doing

  • Propose viable deal structures for customers
  • Maximize revenue and productivity of sales teams
  • Collaborate with various internal stakeholders
  • Close complex, non-standard revenue deals
  • Assist with contract negotiations and approvals
  • Train and work closely with sales teams
  • Analyze data, create financial models, and evaluate alternatives

To Be Successful in The Role, You Will Have

  • 3+ years of deal desk management or financial consulting or pricing strategy
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of opportunity & pipeline forecasting methodology experience (SalesForce.com ideally).
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in business analysis.
  • 3 + years of Excel modeling, analytics, and reporting.
  • 3+ years of experience working within the technology industry.
  • Knowledge and work experience in Cloud Infrastructure, Business/Deal desk experience, Capture/Proposal Management, and US and/or International Public Sector customers.

Roadmap For Success

  • First 90 Days:
    • Shadow and learn from the current team members to understand the responsibilities and processes of the Deals Desk
    • Build relationships and establish effective communication with Sales, Revenue Operations, Legal, Pricing Strategy, Product Management, Order Management, and Licensing & Use Verification teams.
    • Assist in closing complex deals by providing support in contract negotiations and approval processes.
    • Collaborate with sales teams to ensure everyone is aware of the deal process and able to execute deals efficiently


  • First 6 Months:
    • Take an advisory role in proposing viable deal structures and maximizing revenue for customers, while considering internal stakeholder needs.
    • Train and mentor sales teams in the deal desk process.
    • Proactively provide support, guidance, and creative solutions to drive new deals and renewal/up-sell/cross-sell opportunities
    • Continuously review and optimize deal progression to ensure precise execution and optimal deal cycle times


  • First 12 Months:
    • Play a crucial role in complex contract negotiations and approval processes, involving various internal groups such as Legal, Finance, and Services.
    • Apply revenue recognition accounting principles to draft and review contract language
    • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with clients and sales management.
    • Identify customer blockers/enablers and close issues by collaborating with various stakeholders
