Position Summary

The Demand Planner is responsible for facilitating demand decisions across marketing and supply chain teams through the analysis of current sales forecast, historical sales data, 5-year strategic plan, and new product launches.

Role & Responsibilities

Participate in the Sales and Operational Planning Cycle by facilitating monthly demand processes and providing data and inputs to the monthly S&OP meeting.

Drives regional demand planning initiatives, inventory targets, demand vs supply gaps during regional SOP.

Maintain E1 forecast and budget data to ensure accurate demand input to the master production schedule while monitoring available inventory and upcoming production schedules.

Ensure to capture correct forecast and secured demand for all the SKU’s of EMEA region for rolling 24 months

Drive demand management with product managers, supply chain and sales team

Main contact for supply chain planners regarding forward demands as it pertains to production schedules and material requirements planning.

Main contact for customer service in monitoring available inventory, orders vs forecast, safety stocks, and product staging assistance when needed.

Participate in monthly supply chain meetings in order to balance demand and supply.

Utilize advanced forecasting techniques to analyze market and product trends.

Work closely with global and regional product managers to understand product life cycles, new product launches, regulatory timelines, finance, supply chain, special projects and the potential impact on product demand.

Develop and maintain a strong relationship with regional sales managers, country managers, marketing, supply chain, customer service, plants, finance and sales representatives at a regional and global level.

Maintain and improve demand tools and new processes with the goal of continuous improvement in forecast accuracy and inventory carrying costs.

  • Participate in the annual budget process, provide valuable insights to regional sales and marketing team based on historical sales data.
  • Participate and drive projects to improve demand planning, forecasting and Sales & Operational planning.

Education

  • Preferred MBA Supply Chain and/or Operations qualifications or equivalent.

Experience / Skills / Abilities

  • 2-3 years of experience with forecasting/Sales and Operational planning/inventory planning
  • ERP systems knowledge (Oracle), Cognos or any other advanced planning/reporting systems is a plus
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel is a must
  • Experienced in Power BI preferred but not mandatory
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including meeting facilitation and presentations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; strong organizational skills
  • Ability to influence and work with people and teams with diverse cultural differences
  • Must be able to work under the pressure of deadlines
