An exceptional candidate, passionate about nursing, quality & governance, and can provide strong, visible leadership, with a track record of working with a wide range of partner agencies. Innovative & dynamic in their approach, the postholder will be skilled at building relationships at all levels and support/motivate staff in this complex and demanding field of practice. Demonstrating a high level of interpersonal & communication skills, including the application of tact & diplomacy in challenging situations is essential for this role

Working with the Executive Director of Quality & Nursing (EDQN) to provide board level assurance that services within the Trust are being provided in accordance with the relevant legislation and professional requirements. The role requires strong professional leadership with the highest level of interpersonal and communication skills to enable and empower all staff to develop best practice and inspire progressive change

Working in partnership with key partners internally/externally to strategically influence & support the development/advancement of nursing. Represent the Trust on the all-Wales Deputy Directors of Nursing Peer Group & contribute to the associated work plan as required.

A key clinical leadership position responsible for driving forward high-quality evidence-based care for sustainable change, transformation & improvement to enhance patient experience & outcomes, contributes to population health & optimises efficiencies across NHS Wales. Work with the Executive Director to develop the Trust’s approach to value-based healthcare/health economics informed approaches to quality improvement/service evaluation, including through quality & equality impact assessments.

Accountable for all aspects of nursing services i.e. professional practice, workforce, delivery of high-quality evidence-based care & financial performance through culture, strategy, people & resource management.

Provide clinical leadership, be a professional visible role model for nurses. Ensure that professional standards are maintained & will drive forward innovation & continuous learning & foster a culture multi-disciplinary & professional working.

Highly effective in this senior clinical/strategic nurse leadership role, lead and manage several teams. Responsible for the successful delivery of an extensive portfolio to ensure that the Trust is delivering in all aspects for which they are accountable.
