We are currently recruiting for a
Deputy Home Manager for Annadale Care Home .
As the Deputy Manager you will support the Home Manager leading a multi disciplinary team ensuring excellent standards of care are provided to our residents.
Key duties include clinical supervision of staff, care plan audits and having responsibility for the Home in the Manager's absence.

Be A Registered Nurse with recent experience of leading a team preferably within a care setting.

About The Role
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise the professional work of all staff and ensure that individual patient care provided is of the highest standards.
- Assist the Home Manager in taking appropriate action when agreed standards of care are not being met.
- Ensure that Home procedures in particular regarding health and safety, fire, sickness/absenteeism are known by staff and adhered to at all time.
- Ensure the provision of an effective communication system.
- Have regard for the effective utilisation of resources (including staff) to ensure the Home is run in an efficient cost-effective manner.
- To assist as required with the interviewing and selection of applicants/future employees.
- Provides council for all staff as required.
- To assist as required with induction and training systems for all staff.
- Keeps abreast of all current developments i.e., legislation, health board requirements which may effect the management of the Home.
- Assist the Home Manager in the provision of reports/returns that are required on a regular and irregular basis.
- Responsibility for adhering to Home policy for the safe custody, administration, disposal and recording of all pharmaceutical products held within the Home.
- To assist as required with investigating and reporting any accidents, incidents and complaints.
- Responsible for ensuring that any accidents or incidents are adequately documented.
- Responsible for ensuring that all residents receive adequate medical care.
- Ensuring that a satisfactory service is provided by efficient planning and allocation of work.
- Keeping, giving and receiving up to date reports on all residents.
- Assist the Home Manager with keeping all other records up to date.
- Report any maintenance issues to the Home Manager.
- Assist the Home Manager where required in liaising with community services and maintaining a good rapport thus ensuring maximum occupancy levels at all times.
- In the absence of the Home Manager take responsibility for liaising with the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority Home inspectors and to maintain a good working relationship with them.
- Responsible with keeping the Home Manager informed and updated on developments which occur within the Home.
- Adhere to NMC Professional of Code Conduct, Nursing Home Legislative requirements, Health and Safety Legislation and other relevant legislation.
- Arrange for cover in the event of staff reporting absent and to be prepared on occasions to remain in your post beyond normal stopping time if a replacement cannot be found.
- You will be required to be on call as per the duty rota and when the Home Manager is off on leave.
