Purpose of the Role
The role will involve carrying out composite structural engineering on a wide range of projects using analytical and design skills, in collaboration with a project team. You will plan and manage engineering projects as well as working with customers and end users to ensure deliverables meet customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptual structural design, detailed design and analysis for composite engineering projects under the supervision of a more experienced engineer.
- Planning, project management and client liaison on engineering projects under the supervision of a more experienced engineer.
- Assist in the development of innovative and efficient engineering solutions and working methods.
- Develop own technical capability and broaden engineering knowledge across different markets.
- Develop project, commercial and personnel management skills.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering, with emphasis on Structural Analysis and Design and Material Science.
- Professional Experience of 2/3 years in either a design office or a composite manufacturing firm ideally.
- Knowledge and experience of working with structural composite materials and building methods.
- Knowledge of 3-D CAD Packages (such as Rhino3D, SolidWorks or Siemens NX) and Finite Element Analysis advantageous.
- Fluent in English, both speaking and writing skills - essential.
