Development Engineer

A leading provider of diesel and gas engines have an exciting opportunity in their automotive division.

Seeking a talented Development Engineer to join the Industrial Power Systems Division in Peterborough. The role involves designing, developing, and validating aftertreatment systems for internal combustion engines used in off-highway applications. The engineer will lead complex projects, collaborate with global teams and suppliers, and ensure components meet performance, durability, and emissions standards. Key responsibilities include FMEA, DVP&R, technical documentation, and resolving quality and manufacturing issues.

Key Requirements:

• Educational background in mechanical or automotive engineering (HNC or degree preferred).
• Technical Expertise in internal combustion engine systems and aftertreatment technologies (e.g., DPF, SCR, DEF systems).
• Experience in product development, including design, validation, and testing of engine components and emissions modules.
• Proficiency in FMEA, DVP&R, and root cause analysis for quality and manufacturing issues.
