Would you like to work with one of the leading children’s brands in publishing? Pottermore are looking for an experienced sales or account manager with at least 4 years publishing experience to manage our digital retail accounts across the UK and internationally. This role is a fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.

What Our Team Does
The Account Management Team is responsible for managing relationships with digital retail and library partners, and driving sales revenue using a variety of commercial strategies. We work closely with different teams across the business, to ensure these external partnerships are as high-functioning and collaborative as possible.
What You’ll Be Doing
The job is focused on managing our established relationships with our global retail and library partners, acting as a central source of communication across the business and out to key points of contact on the account side. Day-to-day responsibilities include driving opportunities across your accounts base to deliver on our core business strategy.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Account Manager, you will be the central point of contact for your account base. You will be responsible for:
- Regularly communicating with partners about our titles, campaigns, marketing assets, and other activity happening across the franchise.
- Developing a detailed knowledge of the company’s products and pricing, ensuring they’re optimised for global markets and easily discoverable.
- Obtaining, sharing, and using customer insights to inform ideas and decisions around future commercial initiatives and marketing campaigns.
- Developing and executing commercial, merchandising and campaign strategies to maximise sales opportunities.
- Collaborating with the Marketing Team to develop and implement high impact and commercially creative campaigns around franchise events and Harry Potter ‘tentpole moments’, alongside retailer-specific initiatives.
- Working with the Finance Team to produce regular reports and analysis on sales results, promotional outcomes, and sales trends, as well as ensuring timely reporting and payments.
- Developing an in-depth understanding of the business’ commercial arrangements and liaising with the Legal Team on contractual requirements and commitments.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Minimum of 3+ years book publishing sales/account management experience
- Excellent knowledge of the book trade, whether UK or international
- Strong interpersonal skills - a collaborative team player able to build and maintain relationships internally and externally.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills (intermediate to advanced Excel skills).
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise a heavy workload
- An interest in Harry Potter is a bonus (mastermind-level knowledge not required).
