As a Digital Specialist, you would be responsible for building accurate and thorough digital applications and facilitate effective handover to the support team post the implementation phase of a project - determine business requirements, derive project specifications, software design, implementation, testing, deployment, facilitate end user training, production support and maintenance for on-premise and cloud environments
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works closely with customer, Business Analysts and Technical Team to understand the OKRs & business requirements and to drive the design and development of high-quality technical solutions.
- Provide quantified delivery estimates for assigned changes/projects.
- Deliver functionality that fully meets the defined Digital functional and non-functional requirements.
- Co-ordinate the management of Path to live and non-path to live environments in line with digital requirements, including triaging and information gathering digital/end-to-end non-live environment issues. Prepare and maintain runbooks and knowledge bases to support future environment triage requirements.
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 Application Support & development, you may be expected to provide call out support during ‘out of hours’.
- Where appropriate, you should be able to lead the delivery of Continuous Integration in an Agile environment.
- Ensure adherence to organisation’s design and development standards and make recommendations as appropriate.
- Be a technical leader in your technology area, responsible for code reviews of work delivered by junior members.
- Creation of technical documentation, in line with agreed standards.
Technical Expertise:
- Extremely strong core concepts on design development of digital applications
- Good understanding of SDET framework & driving the deliveries.
- Understanding of Cloud concept (AWS/Azure).
- Well-versed with Agile software development principles and practices
- Proficient in web development, digital/mobile technologies
- Well versed with writing and executing unit tests
- Well versed with development and support processes
- Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Passion for product quality and attention to detail
- Ability to business requirements too technical solutions
- Ability to produce technical documentation where required (high-level/low-level, technical designs)
Experience in/Knowledge of:
- Well versed with cloud concepts and technologies
- Working knowledge of ServiceNow, JIRA and Confluence
- Good knowledge of UK Insurance & breakdown domain.
Experience Required:
- 4+ years’ experience in application development & support.
