We're looking for a Digital Trading Manager to join our expanding digital team. You’ll drive growth of Digital sales through wickes.co.uk, apps, and online-in-store. This will be done by focusing on executing the Trading Plan on digital platforms, delivering web merchandising techniques and improvements to develop your categories as well as gathering performance insights and translating them into actions.
What you’ll be doing:
Deliver the trading plan on the website and digital ecosystem
eCommerce -you’ll manage with the team various tools to optimise the website performance and grow sales.
Customer journeys - you’ll ensure the website and other elements of the digital ecosystem are up to date, by ensuring regular walk-throughs of the categories you look after and utilising analytics and insights platforms to propose improvements.
Stakeholders management- you’ll work closely with your counterparts in the Commercial team (Buyers, Planners), and develop effective relationships.
Reporting & Insights- working closely with Commercial teams to understand performance of the categories and provide additional insights on eCommerce performance.
What we’re looking for…
To have the necessary depth of knowledge and experience, we’d anticipate you’ll have at least 4 years eCommerce experience in digital eCommerce and website trading. You’ll be experienced across a variety of eCommerce elements such as product discovery / search, visual merchandising, trading, and have an excellent understanding of eCommerce KPIs (e.g. traffic, conversion, atv, path to purchase, etc.). As well as this you’ll have:
- Excellent planning skills, to build campaigns, present timelines, and ensure delivery.
- Experience running through reports with a variety of stakeholders, and to get their message across in a simple but effective way.
- Excellent stakeholder management – ability to build relationships and liaise with business and external stakeholders (agency management) to ensure clear understanding of dependencies, deliverables and issues/risks.
- Strategic mindset that fully understands how to deliver vs Marketing/Business requirements
- Google Analytics / GA4, Contentsquare or equivalent, Google Looker Studio, CMS systems,
- Product Discovery and/or “searchandising” (Bloomreach, Algolia, etc.)
- Social Proofing (e.g. Taggstar, etc.)
