Practice Director required for a Private Equity backed Accounting Practice firm
London / M25 Corridor
Stanton House has been exclusively retained by a Private Equity backed, scale up group of Accounting Practice Firms. We are seeking a detail-orientated and motivated individual.
In this role, the Accounting Practice Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the firm's vision, overseeing the practice’s financial performance, and ensuring the highest level of client service. The successful candidate will lead multiple service lines, manage key client relationships, and drive operational excellence, compliance, and business development.
To successfully deliver in the profile position, you will need to have:
- Qualified Accountant
- Must have prior experience of working within an Accounting Practice
- Proven track record in business development, client management, and practice growth
- Proven leadership experience
- In depth understanding of accounting practices, industry trends and regulatory requirements
- Ability to build robust and professional relationships
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

- Develop and execute the firm's business strategy, ensuring growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
- Foster strong relationships with existing clients while identifying opportunities to attract new business. Ensure delivery of high-quality financial and advisory services.
- Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis. Optimize revenue streams and cost efficiencies.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (IFRS, UK GAAP, FRS 102, and relevant tax laws). Oversee internal controls, quality assurance, and compliance frameworks.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accountants, auditors, and advisors. Promote a high-performance culture and professional growth.
- Oversee workflow management, automation, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
- Identify new market opportunities, develop service offerings, and strengthen the firm's presence through networking and industry engagement.
