We have the perfect role for you – Director of Contract Management.
Role:
As a Director of Contract Management, you will be responsible for ensuring that the contractual responsibilities are discharged and for monitoring the performance of the provider’s obligations. The team liaises with the Operations and Delivery Directorates and assists them in understanding the contractual obligations that relate to their functions. The team is responsible for leading any contract negotiations and achieving the best commercial outcome.
Responsibilities:
• Responsibility for a team of contract managers assigned to individual contracts
• Ensuring programme / BAU obligations are discharged under the contracts
• Ensuring that TCS’s position is protected
• Ensuring no surprises from the client contract team
• Addressing customer escalated disputes
• Negotiating commercial aspects of any Correction Plans with the provider;
• Supporting new business opportunities as required
• Monitoring contract performance (including specific key performance indicators included in the contract) and reporting such performance;
• Ensuring changes are reflected after being properly assessed, tracking the interpretation of any new business requirement into contractual provisions through the change control process;
• Logging and filing all formal and legal correspondence relating to the contract;
• Escalating contract disputes as necessary;
• Ensuring that contractual documentation is kept up to date
• Experience of leading a Contract Management function
• Experience of working within Government Contract Management functions
• Experience of negotiating with third party suppliers
• Ability to negotiate win-win outcomes
• Familiarity with OGC guidance on Contract Management
• Experience overseeing the commercial aspects of a change control process within a Contract Management function for a large-scale project
• Significant practical experience of managing varied procurement operations working in a professional procurement environment and one that is subject to EU procurement regulations
