We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Director of Culture, Diversity and Religion within our Religious Education department. Applications are invited from ambitious, inspirational and talented middle leaders or teachers who believe they have the skills, passion and determination to lead our academy culture and diversity education to outstanding.
The successful candidate will set the vision for, and promote outstanding cultural, diversity and religious provision within our academy, ensuring that we have a fully inclusive environment from which all students can flourish, feel a sense of belonging and know that stereotypes will be challenged.
We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate who will actively and positively promote different cultures along with the values of diversity within our academy and will teach engaging and challenging Religious Education lessons to enable our pupils to progress and achieve.
Furthermore, the successful candidate will Line Manage the Head of RE to ensure that our small RE department continues to thrive, making it an ideal leadership role for developing leaders and outstanding teachers. The team work collaboratively and support one another brilliantly. The successful candidate will also provide professional leadership and management of RE across the school, in order to secure high quality teaching, combining subject expertise with a passion for securing the highest outcomes.

Ormiston Meridian Academy is a thriving secondary academy in the south of the city, serving 11–16-year-old students. Alongside our lessons, we provide a rich and diverse extra-curricular programme that develops character and inspires our students.
