Allen Lane is delighted to be supporting De Montfort University in their search for a new Director of Digital & Technology on a permanent basis. A newly created role at one of the UK’s most vibrant, sustainable and diverse universities. This is a brilliant career opportunity to have impact as the university’s leading technology expert, developing and directing a comprehensive technology modernisation programme to support the objectives of the Digital Transformation strategy.
As Director and Lead of the current IT and Media Services team, the postholder will lead and inspire DMU’s technology team and oversee all strategic efforts to modernise and optimise the IT function and technological resources of the university.
This is a complex stakeholder environment in which you’ll need to collaborate closely and openly with distinct and dispersed customer groups to establish user requirements and an appetite and environment for innovation.
This high-profile role presents an opportunity to review and reset our present capability. Interoperability, Cloud, data capability and operational excellence will be key themes as you set about transformation.
You will be leading on defining and maintaining a clear strategy for DMU which will enable the delivery of the Digital Transformation Strategy and evidence this through a suite of technical roadmaps that are aligned with business objectives.
