Role Profile:

Lipper is a leading provider of investment fund content, analytics and insight to the global investment community. Serving the largest buyside firms (Asset Managers, Wealth Managers) and other Investment professionals, Lipper data, research and analytics is used to benchmark portfolio manager performance and manage risk, conduct fund due diligence and selection, define product strategy, and help investors find suitable investments.

The Director, Product Management Fund Analytics role will be responsible for the delivery of the product roadmap and strategic direction for the Lipper business. The successful candidate will work within the Analytics Product Management team, working with stakeholders within the Analytics and the broader user communities.

Job Requirements:

  • Manage a team of product managers responsible for specialist desktop, API and data feed services within the institutional funds space, in addition to all fund distribution services and capabilities across LSEG platforms including Workspace.
  • Develop and clearly define the Fund Analytics product strategy working with proposition to outline the business outcomes.
  • Set clear priorities for the delivery of new product features and content across the Lipper product suite.
  • Monitor and analyse market trends and the competitive landscape to identify new opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Represent Lipper product leadership and support the wider business initiatives as required.
  • Work closely with senior business, marketing and sales stakeholders to ensure realisation of product business cases, review product performance and revise strategies as needed.
  • Educate and successfully manage expectations of internal stakeholders.
  • Develop feedback loops across divisions to ensure we are serving the larger financial user community including roadmap trade offs, funding requests and leveraging SMEs across the business to achieve product delivery goals.
  • Engage with relevant support partners to improve processes, systems and tools which will remove operational barriers.
  • Work closely with and participate in internal Governance groups (content and analytics) to review and implement new requests relating to the Lipper business.

Essential Knowledge And Skills Required

  • Experience delivering customer focused propositions for financial Institutions.
  • The ideal candidate will combine an extensive knowledge of the fund industry, fund data and the systems and processes around Lipper content management and data flow.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, especially to adjust product capabilities to continue to achieve outcomes for clients while mitigating challenges associated with various risks.
  • Flexibility to support changing requirements, circumstances, and project dynamics, including absorbing tactical modifications that ultimately support the strategic objective.
  • Strong intellectual capability and ability to influence key business stakeholders.
  • Superb interpersonal skills; able to articulate ideas to internal and external audiences across all levels of seniority.
  • Ability to work optimally at all levels of an organization and build positive relationships with team members, managers, and senior executives across the firm.
