About The Job
The Red Hat Field and Partner Learning (FPL) team is looking for a Director, Portfolio Enablement to join us. In this role, you’ll be responsible for enabling customer-facing teams and ecosystem partners to confidently execute Red Hat’s go-to-market strategies—by building the knowledge, skills, and confidence required to engage customers and drive adoption of our product portfolio.
This is a strategic, highly cross-functional role focused on aligning portfolio enablement with Red Hat’s business priorities. You will lead the development of high-impact, scalable learning experiences and work closely with Products, Sales, Marketing, and Ecosystem leaders to deliver programs that meet the needs of a dynamic market.
What You Will Do
- Drive Portfolio Adoption Through Enablement – Design and deliver enablement programs that help teams understand, position, and execute on Red Hat’s portfolio strategy and campaigns.
- Align Enablement to Strategic Initiatives – Partner with BU, product marketing, sales, and partner teams to ensure enablement efforts are aligned with GTM plays, market launches, and revenue goals.
- Measure Program Effectiveness – Track engagement, certifications, NPS, and business impact metrics to continuously assess and evolve enablement.
- Enhance Technical Depth – Oversee advanced technical enablement (e.g. L2, L3) and credentialing that elevate field and partner confidence in complex technologies.
- Lead Continuous Learning Initiatives – Manage learning programs like Tech Power Hours, credentials, and other self-paced experiences that promote ongoing skills development.
- Tailor Ecosystem Enablement – Develop targeted programs for key partner groups (GSIs, ISVs, Cloud) to align enablement with customer segments and regional market needs.
- Champion Innovation and Scalability – Leverage Red Hat One and modern learning methodologies (e.g., microlearning, blended learning) to scale delivery and meet learners where they are.
What You Will Bring
- Portfolio & GTM Strategy Expertise – Strong understanding of how product, market, and customer strategies translate into impactful enablement across regions and segments.
- Learning & Development Leadership – Proven experience designing, delivering, and scaling effective learning programs within fast-paced tech or software environments.
- Strategic & Analytical Thinking – Ability to assess needs, define KPIs, and use data to drive continuous improvement of programs.
- Cross-Functional Influence – Strong collaboration skills with the ability to align stakeholders across Sales, BUs, Marketing, and the Partner Ecosystem.
- Program Management Excellence – Skilled in managing complex projects across multiple teams, geos, and timelines.
- Change Enablement – Experience guiding field and partner teams through transformation—new tools, methodologies, and offers—with clarity and impact.
Bonus Experience
- Strong understanding of Red Hat’s portfolio and hybrid cloud market landscape
- Experience with sales enablement platforms and LMS systems
- Industry certifications in enablement, learning, or AI preferred

The salary range for this position is $171,010.00 - $290,720.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
