Key Responsibilities

Role overview

The D&I Adviser will collaborate with the D&I team in the West to support the delivery of regional strategic priorities, as well as supporting the global team with specific global projects. This role will focus on three key areas:

1. Employee Engagement Programmes: manage and support key initiatives relating to employee networks, internal communications and learning
2. Programme Management: project manage strategic programmes including Mental Health Champions, reverse mentoring, and Non-Inclusive Behaviours training, as well as ensuring effective impact measurement.
3. Support and Collaboration: assist the D&I team with other regional, global and strategic priorities.

Key responsibilities

Diversity Networks

  • Support annual action planning and implementation for diversity networks in the UK, ensuring activity is aligned with D&I strategy and coordinating a forward look of activity. Develop subject matter expertise to support diversity networks, working closely with network leads to deliver high-impact initiatives (both internal and external).
  • Support networks to draft comms, event invites and intranet stories to highlight network activity, raise awareness and demonstrate their impact.
  • Co-ordinate regular sessions for diversity networks with a focus on promoting collaboration and intersectionality.
  • Be primary D&I point of contact for all UK D&I networks.

Mental Health

  • Support the development and delivery of the mental health strategy, primarily through the Mental Health Champions programme and Mental Health Steer Co (UK, US & EMEA).
  • Management of the Mental Health Champions programme to include; planning bi-annual training, hosting huddles and CPD, including acting as a primary D&I contact for Mental Health Champions in the region
  • Plan and organise other mental health training and events, working with providers to schedule sessions and measure impact.
  • Support other wellbeing priorities providing feedback and input into events and initiatives.


D&I learning

  • Manage the planning and scheduling of non-inclusive behaviours training, including reviewing and analysing feedback.
  • Manage our reverse mentoring programme.
  • Provide support with other D&I learning led by the D&I team.
  • Communications and engagement
  • Write intranet articles and content to provide updates on D&I strategic priorities.
  • Work with the D&I team and Internal Communications team to prepare and implement the annual global communications calendar.
  • With the D&I Adviser East, take responsibility for the D&I and Health & Wellbeing internal SharePoint pages and feed into regular external website content requests.
  • Working together with the D&I Adviser, East, take responsibility for the D&I and Health and Wellbeing internal SharePoint pages and feed into regular external website review and updates.


External engagement

  • Deliver D&I overview to Vacation Scheme students.
  • Conduct regular D&I market research.
  • Support with larger client engagement requests, working with D&I team and Social Impact Client Communications Manager.
  • Support with award and index submissions.

Other responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate and gather feedback from D&I events/initiatives, making suggestions for improvement, ad-hoc projects supporting the wider D&I team - for example, supporting our global Multicultural Celebrations Series.
  • Develop subject matter expertise for D&I and contribute to the on-going development and execution of the D&I strategy.
  • Build relationships with key internal stakeholders, including the wider HR team.
  • Tack D&I budget ensuring all spend is recorded, including planned spend.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Previous experience in / contribution to diversity and inclusion.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Organised and detail-oriented, able to work on multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
  • Proactive with the ability to identify areas for improvement / offer support to the wider team.
  • High level of discretion, diplomacy and a commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Willingness and flexibility to work additional hours as required.
